Improve pronunciation without changing subtitle text (Set alias)
Alias lets you keep the written text unchanged while customizing how it is pronounced by AI.
Use Alias when a word or phrase needs a different spelling, punctuation, or capitalization to sound better in AI dubbing, while the subtitle text should remain correct and natural.
How to use:
In a Prooflistening or Lip-sync task:
Select the chunk where the pronunciation needs to be adjusted.

Highlight the word or phrase that should be pronounced differently.
After the text is selected, the Set alias button becomes active.
Click Set alias. The selected text becomes clickable.
Click the selected text and enter the spoken version for TTS.

The original text remains unchanged in subtitles, while the alias is used for speech generation.
Why it matters
Alias helps keep subtitles clean and grammatically correct without compromising TTS pronunciation. It is useful for names, abbreviations, acronyms, emphasis, punctuation-sensitive phrasing, and words that require a more phonetic spelling for AI dubbing.
