Voice samples for external casting
Voice samples let you audition synthetic voices before you commit to them in production. You pick voices from the library, give them a line to read, and get a ZIP archive of WAV files — one file per voice — that you can share with a director, client, or casting team for approval.
A cast is the group of voices you have selected for one sample generation. Each cast is generated and downloaded as a single archive.
Create a voice sample
Go to the Voices page.
In the voice library, browse or filter to the voices you want to audition and click To cast on each one.
At the bottom right of the screen, expand the Cast list to review your selection and listen to the preview of each voice.
Adjust the cast if needed:
To add more voices, click To cast again on any voice in the library.
To remove a voice, click the trash icon next to it in the Cast list.
Enter the sample text you want the voices to read. All voices in the cast read the same line.
Click Generate. The archive is prepared for download.
Click Download ZIP. You get a ZIP archive containing one WAV file per voice in the cast.
Billing
A billing transaction is created at the moment you click Download ZIP, not when you generate. The charge is calculated per voice: a cast of 10 voices costs 10 × 0.02 = 0.2 credits.
Downloading an archive you have already paid for — for example, if you need to resend it to a client — is not billed again.
Notes
Adding a voice after an archive has been generated creates a new cast. The new cast is generated and billed separately, and the previously downloaded archive is not affected.
To audition a different line, change the sample text and generate again. This creates a new cast and is billed as a new download.
